Cars in
the Park gives a warm welcome to DG David Butler.
Our annual fundraiser is one of the first entries into a new
DG's diary and this year we were fortunate enough to have good
weather and a great turnout.
David helped us out by touring the stands with President Rod
Cooper and even finding time to sample the four by four arena
assault course in a Landover. Having got the adrenaline going
he jumped into a tank that just happened to be passing to get
everyone’s attention.
He finished off the tour by showing his softer side and
accepting a donation of £100 plus from the Freedom Fives Car
Club for the benefit of Help for Heroes.
We would like to thank the 4X4 boys, the man who loaned us his
tank and Jo, Doris and everyone from the Freedom Fives for
their generosity.

MX-5 MiataFest is now history and by all accounts was an unqualified success. Mazda was really behind the event and a good (no, wait a GREAT) time was had by all.
Event photos are available at http://mx5miatafest.com/2010-anniv_photos.php. You'll also see a link to the slideshow on display near the SOCALM booth.
But wait, there's more! Click over to http://www.justin.tv/mazdausa/b/266924995 where replays of the live feed of the panel discussion is available. There's also a couple of neat walkthrough videos.
Thanks to all who participated and a big thanks to Mazda for creating a great car that inspires all this devotion. Here's looking to MX-5 MiataFest 2.0!
